search for giac pc-16 on the forums and u'll find a lot of info. its one of the aggressive files for the k04. im pretty sure thats the fastest your gona get with tip

Well after a quick search I found apost that said that after 280ft/lb of torque you will start to have issues witht he TIP. Looking at what APR has just having the Chip and Injectors on the K03 will jump it to 229hp/271lb-ft on 91 oct and 235hp/275lb-ft for 93 Oct. Thats just at the borderline of safe. You can put the K04 but I think I will pass on it since its just about the limit I can go on the turbo thats all ready on the car. Having to get a new tranny is just to much for me to get later on in the year.

ok - somehow this post turned into a "how to make a TIP tranny faster" post - this is not what I asked
I want to know trial times for 0-60 and 1/4 mile for B5's. I want to know how much diference in 0-60 and 1/4 mile will the chipped k04 vs the chipped k03 will make.
my B5 starts with 150hp/155lbs
apr chip gives you 200hp/243lbs
giac gives you 197hp/235lbs
giac ko4 turbo kit with chip gives you 235hp/265lbs
I'm going to go with Giac but I want to know - if I spend the extra $1300+injectors on the Turbo upgrade - what difference will it make. I've read post about people with the k04 being wooped up on by a k03 just because it takes so long to spool. Is this correct?

Bottom Line=No power gained from K & N filter in these cars, and no point for an intake system seeing as all you'll get from it is a cooler sucking noise.
