hey guys I have a 97 a4 1.8t ,do you guysthink that changing from the stock wastegate on my ko3 to a audi tt wastegate is worth it? Thanks

 

i dont know what that would do

they use a different turbo
and you would still have to add fueling and timing if you ran more boost

 

If the spring is stiffer it should help produce higher boost (not opening the wastegate) but things might get erratic... Hard to say...

you can't be talking about changing your ko3's wastegate. it's one of, im sorry not trying to be a dick, but dumbest thing's i've read this week..

you must be talking about using the bypass, or diverter, valve from the TT. like the 710N. which is a good idea. i would recomend this to any car, chipped or not. it's only ~$30 and it takes ~20 minutes to install. a little extra insurance to make sure you hold that boost(especially higher mileage cars)
