Want Short Shifter, Dont know what to get
well im looking to get a short shifter but im having trouble on choosing one.
So far i have read about the B&M and new speed but i want to know what other options there are that i have.
im looking to get something good but dont know where to look. i have checked serch also and all people talk about are bm and newspeed

i like my stratmosphere, it got it on ebay for 11$ shipped...it was a lil bit of a pita to install, mainly because I have the early 98 interior....but I love that I got to keep the push down reverse and it's notchy (not too bad), but I like the feel of it...

The neuspeed short shifter is pretty pricey compared to most others, i would never pay for that thing when theres others out there.

all of them are overpriced except ebay, which works great, so why pay more when you dont have to?

the "toy guy" type of short shifter from vast is garbage. all they do is redrill the baseconnecting point of the shifter. have seen many problems from them in the past. general consensus that they are not the way to go..
as far as ebay, everyone is correct, many people have had really good results with them. they're cheap, and do the trick to a point.
but i have run nothing but JHM solid short throw shifters in both of my A4's. there is just no comparison. i've driven other A4's and S4's with other competitors short shifters and they are the suck compared to JHM. its a decent amount of money, but totally worth it IMO.
if you're going to upgrade something on your car, do it once, do it right
