wana get rid of high beam interior light... help please
hi,
this may sound like a dumb question but my headlights on my 1996 b5 a4, are close to useless on low beam, I bacially drive on highs all the time, no one flashes me because there normal on high... which i reckon is dumb
anyway, i was thinking is there any way to improve the lighting on the H7 crappy lamps (cost me 100AU), if not is there a way with VAG-COM to make the high beam interior light not come on when i have my high beams on, it just puts off people riding with me...
so becically I want to remove the blue interior (highbeam) light when i have my high beams on using vag-com... ne suggestions?
thanx

Simplest thing to do is remove your gauge cluster... Not sure if there is a write up on this, or if you know how to do it. Let me know if you want directions.. Then on the back of the guage cluster there are bulbs about 14 i believe that light up everything. pull the one that is closest to that spot then shine a flashlight through it to make sure its that one. then reassemble Best of luck

They will proly help, dunno how well they'd hold up. I would go with valeo ones, maybe from car-parts.com. the 99.5 and newer came with 1 piece headlights which will be brighter.

if you plan on upgrading your headlights there is no reason to kill the blue light. you will want it in the future.. because with upgraded lights you wont want to run them on High beam all the time.. so just deal with the light for now if you plan on upgrading.

nope, i'd be surprised if thats even legal to remove that...either take out the bulb by taking out the gauge cluster, or stick a piece of tape or something over it

I would advise against those headlights on ebay. Poor quality. Def go find some Ecodes. You will have to do a little bumper modding too to make them fit.
