Default WACKY Electrical problems!!!!

First off. Was driving my car. Came home. when i went to go leave again, the weirdest **** happened.

1 - Headlights wont go on. The yellow side lights go on , but the headlight dont. BUT if i pull the brights , they go on, but they dont stay on.

2 - horn doesnt work

3 - heat / ac , nothing comes out of the vents , no air or nothing

4 - no turning signals / blinkers

BUT , heated seats work , rear lights work and brake lights work. radio also works.

What in the world could this possibly be? im scared its something really bad. and also , check this link out , Ive found this in some forum and supposably it fixes the problem , Anyone have any advice on it? http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec114.shtml

Thank you for your time/help

OH MY GOOOOOODNESSSSS. i bet your scared shitless right now, lol.... SAME THING happened to me in my 12v 2.8, but dont worry its nothing horrible. Just your headlight switch went bad, and possibly your turn signal switch. but nothing else. trust me, its weird to think that a headlight switch going bad could cause all that junk but it does... who knows why. to get it replaced at the dealer is about 400 per switch, but you can get it done at any local shop for about 175 including parts and labor... so 350 for both switches if they both went bad, but you will definately need a headlight switch. good luck and glad i could help.

Hey man , I havent tried to fix it yet cuase I been busy but thank you for giving me the advice. I am going to buy that switch and replace it. Hopefully it works.

btw: even if the horn/heat/ac/low beams/windshield wipers all dont work , that could all stem from the one switch?

TY =)

hahaha , sadly yes. Its been sitting in front of my house for a long time.I have been very broke for a long time but now i got the money to fix it. but i got a certain situation i think i can capitalize on. Tell me what you guys think.............

Car is parked in front of my house in the street, the uncle of the girl across the street from me , backed his escalade out of the driveway and into the front left part of my car. it put a huge dent in the quarter panel by the front left headlight and it also smashed the signal light right out of the hole. BUT.........Insurance adjuster is coming to my body shop to assess the damage and What should i do? Should i say the blinkers stopped working ever since the guy backed into it and smashed the light out? Could I get away with that? or should i just tell them the lights werent working before it got it??? Cant smashing the light cause a short in the electrical? so mabe I could get away with them buying me a new headlight switch?

Id appreciate any suggestions and help you guys can give , thanx alot

i would also drive ur car to see if there are any suspension damage too. do sum fast acceleration, slow acceleration, emergency stops stuff like that. see if there are alot of vibrations or squeal. and ya i would tell the guy bout the flashers. the good thing is, if ur suspension is fine, just buy the parts and do the work urself wid the insurance money. u might even have sum left over lol. i actually sorta want sum1 to like dent ma bumper or sm lol. im so broke it's sad
