well im plaining on getting a A.W.E. Drive Train Stabilizer and was jsut wondering if anyone that has it on thier B5 like or dislikes it. does it make the diffrences that are stated on the sight? is it worth $300 and is there anything else like it offered by another company thnaks and here is the link

My car came with it so i dont know what it would of been like without it. Before i bought the car i was looking into getting 1. I say go for it i cant see any problem's with it other than when i tried backing upa 3" lip into a garage and tapped it. (2x4 took care of that)

 

i dont think its needed. i would get a set of sway bars before you get that

 

I have the same AWE Drivetrain stabilizer on my car. To be honest, I definitely like the way the car feels on exit ramps and other drastic curves in the road, though it could just be me. I come from a Toyota Corolla, and FWD definitely blows.. but I've driven my Audi for at least 8 months before putting the DTS on, and I do feel a difference. As for efficency in terms of $, I think there might be other ways to better spend 300$ if you're tight on cash. If not, go for it..

 

I would save the $300 and put it towards a chip for your car.. u have a exhaust dv and intake...

chip will make it a totally different car ...search the classifieds or ebay try and get a used one for an 01 B5

 

I installed the dts couple of weeks ago, maybe a month or so, it seems like the shifts are better, and the downshifts easier*. Only thing is that it makes the car vibrate a little more when the air condition is on, since it connects to the tranny.

 

I really didn't notice the vibration untill i put the snub mount on.

 

DTS is not necessarily needed for a stock powered A4 but it does make the car feel more connected. definately something to get eventually.. i love my AWE DTS. at first i didn't notice much difference like most have stated before me but then i found a great $30 upgrade ( all info in the LINK below)for the mount and it is well worth it.. note- i bought mine used for cheap but if i were to buy new i would save $50 and go with the ASP DTS (exactly the same thing)
