Voice Control on 2007 A4 3.2
Just bought a 2007 A4. Has Bluetooth. There is no phone cradle for my Motorola Razr. Bluetooth works fine. How can I tell if my carhasthe Voice Control feature for the phonepackage. The sound system manual doesn't really indicate that it's a separate"package".When I push the "talk" button on the steering where a "No Function" message appears on the dash. Not sure if I don't have Voice Control or do have it but somehow it's not activated. Dealer wasn't any help.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have the same car except in 2.0 fashion. If you have bluetooth you do have the voice control (the only way to control the phone). Did your phone sync to the car properly? Did you follow the setup proceedure when you did it? If you have bluetooth active on your phone when you enter and start the car the radio should say "phone" and you'll hear a beep. It sounds like your phone was not set up properly. Check the process in the manual and try again. I have a RAZR as well and it works great. The cars do not come with cradles from the factory, you have to buy a phone specific cradle at the parts department of your local dealer. Good luck.

It should prompt you to put in a pass code on your phone to allow you to connect to the car to. I have the voice setup in my 2.0t also. Just read the manual there is probably something you missed. Your phone is probably not properly synched with the car yet. it took me a few tries to get it right. Good luck.

Thanks to both of you for replying. One question. Do I need to use the phone cradle for the voice commands to work? I've double checked everything and it still doesn't work. My only assumption is that you must be using a phone cradle.
