RE: vibration??
You can probably find additional info by searching the forums, but here's what I think...
Is the howling from the front now gone? If it is:
Your front tires might have been low on tread or worn unevenly due to either alignment or balancing issues.
Thus, the dealer rotated the 'bad' tires to the back, where there is less wear.
However, now the bad tires are vibrating in the rear. Of course, it feels like the entire car is shaking because well.... consider this: if you hit a bump on the road, you feel it in the entire car....
1. Check your treads, make sure they're not dangerously low...
2. Try balancing the rears... If you're getting vibrations in the car, but not the steering wheel, it is most likely not the front tires.
Also, if it is a very minor balancing issue, it is usually speed specific... In your case, it seems to be 70... what happens when you go 80? I'm not recommending you speed, but it might go away at higher speeds....
good luck, search before you post

RE: vibration??
The dealership's solution to a whining noise was to move the tires around???
They probably knocked off the balancing weights from the wheels when they moved the tires around. Be my guess.
Was that all that they did to remedy your problem?

RE: vibration??
yes as far as i know, they were actually quite puzzled about the whining but the whining has gone,to answer if it goes away at 80 no it doesn't and the vibration does not go through sterring that is fine no probs with steering at all????????

RE: vibration??
yes, if you have alignment or balancing issues in the front, you'll most likely feel it in the steering wheel, for obvious reasons..................... the front tires are connected to the steering wheel... lol
