Unplug your maf and see if things become smoother. Audi fuel filters dont get clogged to the point where you get running issues, it just doesnt happen. Im almost willing to bet my left nut its your maf. Scan for codes, just cuz there is no CEL doesnt mean there arent fault codes.

Seafoam if you want, but its not going to fix your problem.

Mas airflow sensor=maf
Its inside youar air box, and the turbo inlet hose is attatched to it on the outside. You can unplug is by taking that rubber seal off the top of the airbox. Thats the wiring harness for it. I assume you know where your throtle body is?

I'm not attacking you or anything but I'm wondering how you are an overdrive member with 2000 posts and don't know what the MAF is...

I post most in off topic, I've only had car 1 year...before that i had 96 A4 (which I installed intake and did timing belt/water pump install took me 2 weeks i have pics, also cleaned PCV system)

I have owned my 99.5 1.8T since May 16th 06 and HAVE NOT HAD 1 SINGLE PROBLEM besides Brake sensors. Therefore I have kept off A4 section for issues I really dont know this car all to well.

Last thing I did was Rotors,DV,debadege,headlights,foglight mod,installed air-fuel ratio gauge,boost gauge

Answer your question?

As onepoint8tee said, scan the ECU for codes.
