Vented Fustration
It baffles me at how many posts I've put up here about people with 30v 2.8's pushing over 300 hp. I've seen numerous people talk about them on threads on here but have had no luck actaully coming in contact with them. I would like to supercharge mine but only after the motor is built. Most of you already have seen me talk about this on here. I have some good pictures I will be posting of my progress to keep this car unique. But is there anyone out there that knows of these super 2.8's that people so rarely talk about. I've heard about many 30v 2.8's with the charger that with other modifications are pushing around 350 to the wheels... Where are these 2.8's they speak of!

Really 350whp from a 2.8? I've never seen this beast you speak of. Sound good to me, getting beat by a 2.8 would really bruise the ego. [:@]
I know a couple of people who threw a 2.7tt where the 2.8 way. I know of some 2.7tt people who bored & stroked the 2.7 to 2.8 & used the 2.8 heads & other parts.
Even built, with a super charger, it's going to be a very expensive & very spiky engine. I just don't see a twin screw SC doing that much boost. I'm not saying it can't be done, but if you did, would you like the HP/$$, & the drivability?

No amze what i'm saying is exactly what akielbis saying. Someone posts like one line about crazy 2.8's and then you don't see anything again. Myself personally i've only heard about them and never seen any hard facts. I'll keep you guys posted on my build. Once I pick up my ford ranger the whole thing iscoming apart

I know same here. I'm just going to custom everything myself. Rebuild the block and charge it with nitrous. I KNOW I can buy an s4 but i'd get a hell of a lot more gratification out of having a car like nobody elses reguardless of how much money I spend. And with the build, SC, and nitrous it isn't far-fetched to say this car can hit the 400 hp range.
