I purchased an Third party Interface that claims to be Dual K (KKL) and to be compatible with version 409.1. It is a USB interface and i am pretty sure that i have installed it on my computer correctly but when i plug it into my car it won't communicate and says interface not found, but it says that the interface is found when not hooked up to my car. It also does not detect that it is plugged into the USB, it is detecting it in COM4. anyone have any experience with this and give me some tips..... thanks

 

go to control pannel.. click on system, go to Hardware, go into device manager, right click the usb interface/serial port and go into the properties and switch from com4 to com2, or whatever is available, then go into vag com setup and select com2 (or whatever one you chose that wasnt com4)... thats what i had to do.

What system is this? and most likely the com port will have to be set like onepoint8tee is saying. I know with the ODBII reader I have depending on which USB port I use I have to put a differnt com port in Example 8 or 10.

The software I have is Digimoto and the cable is a mOByDic.

Go to Device Manager like Onepoint8tee said and go to the USB section and find it. It will list the com port there.

 

Its Vag Com....i haven't tried it on my car since i changed the com port... but i'll play around with that
