Default vac line for boost guage? (b5)

Was wondering what vac line people have been using to hook up their boost guage on a b5... i tried one last night on the line from the Intake mani to the DV... is this ok? is this what everyone else uses? it was the only good one i could find, unfortuneately i couldnt get an accurate reading because the vac line i was using sucked nuts and was all crimped...

That is usually the line everyone uses for the boost guage. I would replace the line since yours is about to go.

yea I have heard that too but I dont really think its a problem.. I left myself extra vac line in case there is an issue in between the firewall

I ran mine off the line closest to the radiator with no problems. I did however have to replace the whole vac line since it was deteriorating.

I would tap the intake manifold since is a solid unit and you really never tend to have any problems with the manifold like you can with the FPR at times.
