It can be done on a B5. The back is fine, but on the front you really need to find tires that are conservatively sized so that you can stretch them (which looks like *** if you ask me) so they don't rub like crazy. Your wheel ET will also determine how it all works out. Typical is 30 or 31 offset for 9"s.
You can always roll your fenders and all will be well... I did that on my 98 sedan.

38 offset is pretty large - your wheels may be directly under thefender lip with 9" wheels and ET38. You might have problems if your car were lowered at all (even maybe with stock sport suspension).

I have 18x8 with an offset of 38, and they fit just fine. My front tires sit just beneath the front fender lip. You may run into rubbing if you go with 18x9s.
...and eff tire stretch. That $hit looks ghetto if you ask me.

Haha if they cant get ahold of those front 18x8 for me im kinda stuck with the 18x9 considering that they are the sole distributor of tork wheels. And they are on min. 60 day back order from china. If I got rubbin u think a set of coilovers raised a little would help? Im kinda hopin for the staggered look, havnt seen it much on audis.

staggered are on here alot, but if your gonna rub its gonna look stupid if you have to riase the front you may need to look at diff wheels
