Looks like you didnt sand to a fine enough grit and thats why the paint doesnt match so great and why its not as glossy as the rest of the car. Wetsand to 2000 grit with warm soapy water

It's plenty glossy, what's lacking is a perfect color match, but that could definitely be improved by some more expertly applied filler primer...you'll see, World.

Not bad... I see you got yourself some ebay lights...
Yes. Bingo.

Level 10 tranny? Nah, swap it to a manual.

Sweet cheeks? How did you find out about my alter ego?
A manual in Houston? I pass on that grass. This was my last car...granted, not as fun as an Audi, but I sure as sh*t don't miss the shifting in traffic. Ugh...the Baja.

That's me....and as far as the clarity goes, it's you (you're probably falling in love ...don't worry, it's common..j/k) I'm not changing anything.

P.S. I'm DRUNK.

That's too funny that you posted the Subaru pic: I didn't want to sound rude (it is my opinion after all), and I wasn't going to post this until I saw the Subaru pic, but the mismatched paint on your Avant totally reminds me of my old white Subaru Outback that had silvery lowers. I wouldn't want that combination again. Nor the Subaru!

Nice to see I'm not the only girl around here! (I know I'm not the ONLY one, but this is a male-dominated forum fo' sho'!!)

P.S. Me too----Chardonnay. Glad I have that extra hour of sleep tonight to get rid of any hangover I may have!

I know!! It hurts my soul a little bit that I ended up making my Precious look like an Outback! I ordered the correct paint the next day and even though the actual painting part sucked and my back hurt for days, I'm fixing that ASAP.

I'm not sure how it happened, but a few months ago, I ended up programmed to wake up at 7:30 no matter how late I stay up the night before...it's frustrating because I feel like crap at the moment (it was a good, long night at the bar), but there will be no sleeping this off. Ugh, and I totally forgot about the time change...evidently, I will now be waking up at 6:30.[>:]

I won't waste everyone's bandwidth with them, but I uploaded the rest of the pictures from the really bright day onto my photobucket album, you can check them out there for what they're worth...most of them are worthless because of how darn bright it was.

The light output is decent. It's much better than the stock reflectors, but not as good as factory projectors. As for the HIDs, these are much better for them...before the light was scattered and there were gaps in the beam pattern, but now, there is a nice even cast. If you buy them, don't bother installing until you've done the cutoff shield modification that I talked about because they're worthless otherwise. I'll try to remember to take pictures from inside the car at night.

I did lose the fogs, but I doubt I'll miss them. At some point, I may add fog lights because I like the way that they look, but Audi fogs have turned out to be surprisingly expensive and I haven't found any aftermarket ones that I like.

To take the projector out? No, you can get to it from the back of the headlight...there are four screws holding it in place. Be sure to clean off any finger prints after you've handled it...I had to take them apart yet again today to clean them off. Also, they WILL fog up if you don't seal the heck out of them first...I used Liquid Nails' Clear Sealant. I missed a spot on one, got the car washed and it fogged up immediately. Problem solved with more sealant.
