Default unknown fluid??????? help

last night we got like 4-6 inches of snow!! ha my first snowfall with my 3.0 quattro 6 spd and ha its real fun, but any ways i was the only person to pull in and out of my driveway this morning just once, and as i was walking back to my house i noticed a trail of green fluid spots up my driveway right to my car, so im like WTF????? antifreeze? then i got to thinkin that the antifreeze has a reddish tint to it cause its different than the domestic fluid i normally used, any ways i checked to see what fluids would be green and i didnt see any? washer fluid is blue coolant is red hydrolic is brownish and obviously its not the oil... what else would it be? am i right that the antifreeze/coolant is redish? any info would be much appreciated!!! and i know that i was the only car to be up and down my driveway this morning....

Didnt you look at the coolant tank? It should be pink.

Well, the engine mounts are liquid filled. That is one possibility, but not sure what color the fluid is.Im not sure, but Ithought that oem Audi mineral/hydrolic fluidIS greenish? Might be wrong on that... Another possibility is AC compressor oil. Best thing to do is drop the belly pan and have a look.

I think it might just be a small leak or something, but i depends on how much fluid leaked out. I'd check the tank and then you can go from there. See how much, if any that you are down. But common areas where it might leak are the hoses at the bottom of the tank, and if you follow them you'll find some more areas where it might leak. I don't think it would be the pump because you'd probably lose a lot of fluid and I know that it isn't the steering rack because then you'd have no fluid and be replacing it every other day.
