Default Turbo sound

I read somewhere in here that on a stock A4 1.8t you should not hear the turbo spooling. Well when I hit the gas I can clearly hear a whistiling sound like a turbo. It is much louder at night or when it is overcast and not as hot as the regular afternoon. Is this my turbo and if so, is it a bad thing that I can hear it?

mine is pretty loud and with the windows down can even be faintly heard while doing about 80. It has sounded litk that since I got it. Other then the boost leak test what are some other tell tale signs of a boost leak??

Get an intake or k and n panel filter and chip, thatll make it sound sweet.

Slightly off topic question, but how loud is the K04 turbo with appropriate
chip ?? Is it much diff then chipped K03. just wondering.
