I'm thinking about putting a turbo on my 3.0L V6... I'm looking for suggestions as to what a good kit would be... and maybe even an aftermarket cam that would compliment it nicely... any suggestions, comments or info would be greatly appreciated... thanks!

No turbo for the 3.0. NA engines arent very mod friendly. There is a supercharger available, but is pricey. Other than that do exhuast and cosmetics... Or sell and get a 1.8t or 2.0t and mod the crap out of it.

 

yea theres no turbo kit for the 3.0, besides if u go turbo u have to go twin casue a V6 isnt good for a single turbo, u have to have some kind of funky manifold for that and ur engine is not built for high boost anyways

Build engine up
Find HUGE turbo

 

Sell it and buy a turbo.Or a different car.

You'll never get 400 out of the v6, not even with a Supercharger you wont even get close.

 

Why the need for so much power man? Most people would more than happy with a SC giving you 300+hp

 

Okay, i have kept my mouth shut for a long time. I realize that there is no turbo kit for the v6's. but do you need a kit?

before i came to Audi, whenever i talked about modding a car or helped a friend with it, there was no kit. we did it all our selves. my friend took his 94 M3, bought a ebay turbo, built his pipeing, then took it to a dyno to tune it. also, no one seams to realize the power you can get out of a NA engien just by building it

 

yea NA engines seem to show nice gains when they crossover to the turbo side but the problem is NA enginesarent designedhandle boost becasue most of them have high compression ratios and not the rite internals

u can blow those engines easly if u dont know wat ur doing
if u ever look at those aftermarket turbo kits for NA engines they only pushing 5-7 psi at most would be 10
