Ya i tried this too about a month ago and ended up burnig my clutch, i babied it the rest of the week and luckily there was no lasting damage. Just take it easy on the thing for the time being, it'll heal itself.

A stock 2.8Q will be hard pressed to spin the wheels at all unless you are driving in snow. Yes, that smell is your clutch, and if your car is still driving okay, then I would be happy and not do that again.

I redlined my car after being stopped on a hill with 3 rather large people in the car with me. After that it was like my car had no power. I got it home (few blocks away) and let it cool down and sit over night Next day the power was back. I'm hoping this didnt cause some unforseen problem that I'm unaware of. Anyone else have this happen?[:-]

I love spining/Going sideways with the quattro system. You just have soo much control over any RWD car. In a g35 sure you i can drift it day and night. But with the quattro i can punch it around a turn and have control and not with the G. "Drifting" on a wet road is the best with the Audi's Q system.

But i try to stay away from doing that too much id rather not kill my car.
