Default Transmission flush/fill

Ok i got my car back FINALLY from the VW dealer, all new seals, but they wanted to charge 325 bucks for a transmission flush and fill.. FDAT!

So i am going to tackle this tomorrow. I just need to know what kind of fluid is recommened for tip tronic, and how much fluid would be needed.
keep in mind, the cloest audi dealer is about 100 miles away. The closest i have is a vw dealer so. Any informations would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I think that the tip tranny flush isn't really a DIY...I think you have to monitor the fluid temperature and have the car perfectly level, etc...$325 sounds like a lot, and it is, but it might be reasonable for the job.

I wish the VW dealerships around here would service Audi. I took mine to one and they wouldn't even look at it, told me they couldn't.

Use OEM. No sense risking a 5000 dollar transmission.

Drain and fill of the pan takes about 3 quarts off the top of my head, but double check to make sure. Before you drain fluid, make sure that you can open the fill plug, otherwise you cont put fluid back in. To drain and fill take a cold car around the block once. This will bring you to about the correct temperature. Drain the fluid. To fill, you will need to have the car perfectly level and pump in the fluid until it starts to leak out of the fill hole. Seal it and you are done.

You need to have the engine running while having someone going through all the gears (with foot on brake) about 10 seconds per gear while you are filling until it starts to drain out.
