dude that sucks, so much cash. as before I agree it is pointless to put S4 engine couse of the same price as selling yours and buying S4.
In my opinion I would instal PES kit, or better my kit couse its way better. rebuild the engine and lower the compresion.
Rebuild engine is way better that a swap. Think about it. you can push your car to be 3.0 engine lower the compresion to like 8.5<>9 and by using my kit you could really woop some Japanies cars.
WHAT I WOULD DO:
1. go out and search for 6 sped tranny.
2. rebuild it and put lockers in front dif and update central dif. besically Torsen in front and central and back.
3. increase the 6 speed to go faster. for long runs on highway, economy.
4. update suspension, like from junk yard the whole suspension from RS4 or S4
5. instal stage 3 clutch [ceramic with extra strong presure plate]
6. rebuild the engine and lower the compresion to like 8-9:1
7. as its out instal SC, I would go with mine, can go as high as 25-30psi
8. put in stand alone EFI for tuning.
9. put it all back together.
Now all this setup will produce 450-500HP at crank so its like 340-375HP on whhels, and huge amout of TQ.
so the car would have like 8HP per LB or 17.5 HP/KG.
Or how ever instead SC I would go with Turbo, so there are choices. With Turbos the car can go much higher with HP.
and all that by droping it all out, on these cars its way easy, not like others. The whole engine+tranny+suspension+brakes+wheels can be taken out very easy and less pain in the butt.

Hey Kakarot, I just bought a 2.8l a4 quattro manuel and your saying it is possible to put some turbos in them by rebuilding the engine? I just straight up want to make my a4 fast as sh*t but i wanted my car to be a v6.

First of all, paying someone to do an S4 swap is stupid. If you want a 2.7L bi-turbo A4, buy an S4 and swap over the bumpers and sideskirts from your A4. Total cost of conversion: like 500$ if you find the same color. How hard is that? Or, do like the guy from AZ is gonna do, buy the drivetrain and DO IT IN YOUR GARAGE to make it cost effective.
Second, to answer ^^your question, you'll have to rebuild the engine to a lower compression, either with lower-compression pistons or a headgasket, and custom-fab manifolds, downpipes, intercooler pipes, crazy-*** F-hoses, and stand-alone EMS.
There should be a sticky.
Also, to the thread starter: Post pics when you're finished.

I think the surercharger sounds like the best idea but then again its your money and you can do what you want, but if you do do it be sure to take lots o pix and video when your done lol we wana see
