Default Tranny probs. TIP

Hey all i have a 2001 audi a4 tip 1.8t..

anyways. when i put it in gear some times reverse or drive. it makes a loud clunk sometimes..

it only happens if i forget to use the ebrake before letting the brake peddel go. so all of u know when u put it in park, the car moves forward alittle til it stops. if i let it do that it makes that loud clunk when i put in it drive or reverse, i just wanted to know if this is normal? or not. then i wanna get that fixed in the audi place then..

Oh and also is this also normal. some times when i put it in drive or park it starts go go either forward or reverse and it jerks like i feather a clutch and then drop it. only happens in the morning some times..

anyways thanks for the time

That is a normal sound if you dont have the ebrake on. You should get into the habit of using it because your rear calipers can seize if you dont. your paranoid. How long have you been driving?>

hehe young drivers, you should always use the Ebreak/hand break regardless if its an automatic or manual unless its to be stood for a long time
