Not trying to be a dick, but are you sure that your e-brake isnt on?? Have your fluid changed if you dont know if/when its been done last. Could be internal damage though.. That would suck.

You can do it yourself but unless you have a lift and a fluid pump and vagcom etc. its probably easier to shell out the $150 VW charges for a fluid change. Thats what im gunna do and i normaly do all the maint. on my car myself. If you have the filter done too it will cost more, but its not exactly recomended from what i found out because there are tiny little peices of clutch from the tq. converter that naturaly break off over time and are suspended/caught by the filter and they provide a natural barrier between all the moving parts when the fluid is circulating. Plus it is supposedly a lifetime fluid/filter. I can understand the filter being a lifetime part, but not the fluid. Most people just do the fluid change and not the filter. But by not replacing the filter, your not gunna get all the old fluid out of there (maybe 5 qts. or so) You could POSSIBLY have a clogged filter though and in that case it would be wise to change it... Ahh **** it, just have them do it all... Not sure what the best solution is now..[&:]
