Default Torque wrench

So I bought a POS torque wrench last week. I used it to change plugs over the weekend, but I just don't get the warm and fuzzy with it. I'm going to buy a higher quality wrench this week and want any input you may have.

Brand?
1/2" or 3/4"? I have a full set of 3/4" attachments and the 1/2 to 3/4 adapter.

Thanks!

Consolidated Devices Incorporated makes a good torque wrench. I think they have no been bought out by Snap On though.

snap-on if you can afford it...or mac, but those are both super expensive...if you want something cheaper, i believe that craftsman tools (though maybe not the best) have a lifetime guarantee, so if it ever breaks or fails somehow, sears will replace it for you for free...that's only on mechanical tools though, not power tools

can't go wrong with craftsman.
lol, on American Hotrod (good show) Bluebear heated up, and bent the wrench in half to get at a really hard bolt... then took it back and they replaced it without asking any questions... pretty slick if you ask me

Haha, I have a snap-on torque wrench... it, and a tiny 1/4" ratchet are the only snap-on tools in my garage The rest is all mastercraft and craftsman, for the most part. Snap-on is amazing though, everytime I need that 1/4" ratchet, I'm stoked. I got it when the ratchet that came with my corvette (to get the targa roof off) seized up.

3/8" drive torque wrench is good for low torque , like 22 Ft. Lb. 1/2" drive torque wrench is good for wheels 89 Ft. Lb.

Thanks again everyone. I'm obviously in need of help if I can manage to screw up 3/8 and 3/4..... 8)

Wish me luck. My rookie *** is replacing tie rod ends and flushing my self-inflicted G11 G12 coolant mix this weekend.
