Default Tis the season for mod's

okay soo i finally got my hands on a decent alotment of cash. I am thinking about a magna flow exhaust system,s4 rims and tires, just bought a new set of brembro pads and rotors, and and rs6 front grille. was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? i own a 98 a4 2.8 quattro 5spd. Changing from the 2.8 too the 1.8 in spring just doing a few things to spruce her up a bit.

he's got a 2.8, and he's apparently going to swap it, a chip wouldnt be worth it.

don't know what you have done, but some nice s4 wheels will look odd without a drop... may want to consider lowering it instead of an exhaust.

Agreed - what you spend on those mods will not be recovered on the sale of the car. If you drop, say, 2500 bucks into the 2.8 just to turn around and sell it in 8 months, you're not going to get that 2500 back just because the car is modded. Better off not doing anything with it and selling it stock, or do a few things (like the grille) that you can remove and put onto the 1.8 when you get it. I wouldn't bother doing the exhaust or the suspension drop - going to be a pain to remove that stuff and not worth doing just to have it that way for less than a year. Save the money and either mod the 1.8, or put it toward a 1.8 in nicer shape than one you're budgeting for now.
