To the best of my knowledge, none of the companies out there have released a chip for our TIP transmission yet.
Not sure if they're going to.....Audi made some serious changes in the shift-speed of the previous TIP set ups and I'm not sure the gains would be worth it for the price the tuners will charge.

Even still.......I'D buy one !

Not sure about AWE price change (thats what its been since I started looking). But, Greedspeed has increased their 1-bar P-chip from 179.95 to 349.95 so I don't know whats up with these tuners feeling that their old technology is suddenly worth more money. Usually companies lower their price over the years not increase it!!

Thank God The K04 Kit hasn't gone up - woop's hope they don't read this it might give them the idea [sm=dontgetit.gif]

Holy Hell those claims are impressive for that price... If what they claim is true and there arent any tuning difficulties with the chip thats going to be some agressive competition for GIAC and others. I thought the Pchip was only a 30 hp increase but from what it looks like, they are saying its similar to GIAC/APR gains. HMMMM. Id like to hear what someone who has a P chip has to say about it. Id also like to see a dyno graph with hp/tq curves.

Shockingly enough, it looks like this P-Chip fits my 2.8 30V.

Is this an entirely different product from GIAC's standard 2.8 chip? I haven't done my homework on this....but I seem to remember the GIAC chip offering about 10 HP, with a more aggressive torque curve eleminating the "dead spot." I thought it sold for about $300. Is the P-chip something different than this? http://www.giacusa.com/programs.php?mpid=60

For $200, I'd be interested to see what kind of gains it claims for my engine...

Oh, and I want a cheap tip chip too!!

Wow, definately struck my interest. After I'm done typing some stuff out for work, I might give them a call, and see if they have any Dyno Sheets they could email me for a 30V 2.8L.

I don't think any mfgs made a tip chip for the a4/s4 past 02. I have a 03 with a tip went APR, although i was originally was looking at GIAC because they also had a tip chip, but the dealer said that the newer tips are already good so there has been no desire for anyone to develop an after market upgrade. Just the story I was told.

Quick Audi story: I whacked a turkey this morning, it did a flip and left two huge gouges in my driver side mirror casing with it's sharp talons. The end.
