Tinting windows... $300?

RE: Tinting windows... $300?
There is no way it should take a week. If you call ahead and make an appointment, they can have you in and out in the same day.
On another note, getting a cheap quality tint can look like A$$ [:'(][:'(][:'(] so it might be good to see some examples. BTW, where are you located?

RE: Tinting windows... $300?
I called back and asked them a few more questions. Aparently the reasons it takes a week is because they remove all the door panels and all and the way he explained it to me it sounds like they make it so that there is no "frame" around the tint before the edge of the glass, and they only do tint 3 days a week (I didn't ask why).
As for the whole competition = lower prices, all the competition (I know of anyway) is charging about $200 with warantee and all, but one of the shops near me (actually the closest to me) uses some strange sort of film and while it doesn't turn purple or anything, it kind of gets a weird "iridium" effect after a while.
Idk, I guess I didn't really do my research or ask the right questions, just kind of threw me off for a minute. At first I thought they really weren't doing anything special other than not being a shady shop on a side street, but now that I know what they're doing differently I can see why they're charging an extra hundo.
I guess I'll just wait for a week when I don't need my car adn get it done then, but there's plenty of other **** to do 'till then...
