tinting taillights
I have a can of Night shades that i want to use on my tails since i ran out of money and i can't afford lltek's smoked tails. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on this stuff?? I've tried to search aw and these forums for how-to's but i can't find anything. Also, is this stuff going to fade to purple like some cars i've seen?

RE: tinting taillights
I've found some good directions for getting this done, but only one set of directions suggested a clearcoat to use and they said model paint (Testers). I've used Testers tint spray on old cars and it fades in a few months. I don't want the clear coat to become dull, is there anyone who knows of a really good clearcoat spray to use that won't fade? I don't have access to any paint equipment, so I'm limited to spray cans.

I didnt clear coat mine, because i might decide to take it off.....Just go to a local hobby shop and purchase tint spray, it works man, just make sure you take your tail lights out when your spray or tape it up

I tinted my tail lights with tint spray i bought from my local hobby shop.. It looks like theres gloss in it already so its got quiet a shine clean look. The spray was about 3.50 for a can, and it was more than enough for me. the brand was called Pactra. I can upload some pics later for you.

well he said he already has nite shades so he doesnt need to visit the local hobby shop. BF. i have used nite shades as well as someother GP guys. Ill see if i can dig up some pics but it works really well. Clear coat will bring a little more shine and protection to it from scuff and scratches..........but the end result if you prep it right is oh so nice.
