Timing Belt Tools

Hey just wondering if i need anything else beside the torx and reg tools for a timing belt change. Do i need the tool that keeps timing belt at tdc? TIA

Would help if we knew what engine you have. For the V6 you should use the cam holder tool and the crank holder tool.

I just bought an 01 1.8t - 170 hp. Can be taken up to over 300 easily. Good tuning potential. Both are beautiful cars though

one its 180hp

they didnt do a 170hp

I have a 2001 1.8t 170 hp.. I don't know what you're talking about 180hp...

Huh, what are you talking about? A4 1.8t engines come in 150hp and 170hp depending on the year.

Unless its in a tt in which case its 180 or 225.

lol, a4 1.8t/passat 1.8t is 170............lol

can i get the 2.8 cam lock and crank lock tools at the dealer or where do u get these?
