I just recently got a new job and am thinking about selling my current project car and daily driver to buy an Audi A4.

Questions

1. I am just wondering what should I expect from the car as performance and reliability goes. Since I am replacing my DD to buy this, I would need something I could rely on.

2. What year and trim is optimum for an A4? B6 or B7, 1.8T or 2.0T (for sure going to get quattro)

3.I also like to do all the work to my cars myself. Saying this, I am wondering how difficult it is to do maintenance on the car, oil changes, upgrading parts and replacing stock ones.

4. About how much should I expect to pay for an A4 with the previous specs. I already checked KBB, just looking what other people paid.

5. Anything I should look for or ask for when purchasing an A4? Ex) recalls, trouble spots, etc.

6. How well do these cars mod up?(2.0T, quattro) HP estimates from parts or quarter mile times?

7. Good sites to read up on A4s?

8. Sites to buy parts from? (coming from japanese cars, were parts are everywhere.)

9. Any options on the car you regret not getting or I should get?
