RE: Things Audi owners may not know...
yes its the button that shows the arrow circulating inside the car (recirculation). Just hold it for a few seconds then press the manual fan speed button up (the up arrow). The numbers display, then u use the temp control arrows to change the numbers, the corresponding functions are in that link above.

I dont get this... I have been trying this and havent been able to get it to work.
So I hold the recirculation button (Im guessing while the unit is on) and press the Manual fan speed. The only thing that happens is the temp changes to celcius. It said in the AUDIWORLD post that you had to press another button (maybe temp change)... nothing was workin. [:@]

nah, when its on it will change the unit of measure for the temp. You have to do it with the air off to get all the good stuff. The most useful one is gonna be the first one...the diagnostic codes.

I cant get this **** to work!!! So I tried it with the air off and tried pressing every button in sight. The only one that seems to do anything is the Up and Down arrows to the right edge. The only thing I get is a 1C with a fan on the LED... from there I can control the speed of the fan. This works with the 2000 models, right?

u should see 1c, after u see the 1c, let go of the recirculation button and toggle with the temperature arrows not the fan speed ones. then when ur at the number u want just press (dont hold) the recirculation button. Then u can keep toggling throughout, and just click the recirculation button to engage the operation.

it wont work for a 96? ghey
quick question- you know on the gauges there are 2 rectangle lcd's? the bottom one shows the outside temperature, but the top one is blank... was there ever anything on there, or has it been burned out since i've had the car?
