Hey guys,
First of all, thanks alot for answering my questions the other day!
I just had another question. The 97 A4 Quattro I now own was
broken into in NYC and the people who broke in stole alot of stuff
starting from the CD player to the rear view mirror!! They also
stole one of the headlitght cleaning jets and both the covers of
the jets. I fixed everything else except the new window tints and the
water jet spray for the headlights and their covers.

So here's the problem. I don't know what they did to the water
supply, but whenever I pull the lever for the windshield water,
nothing comes up, only the wipers move. Now, I was wondering
if you guys could tell me how I can attempt to fix this myself
and also where can I buy the missing spray and their covers!
I went to the dealer, but they'd charge me $490 for the whole thing!

Do you actually have any fluid for the wipers left? Unless they plugged the hose (unlikely) I thought it'd all drain out

 

You're right though...all the liquid just drips off on the ground.
Is there anyway I can attach the pipe back on to the container
without opening up a lot of stuff? Also would you happen to know
where I can buy the jet spray and the covers for the Headlight
sprayers? I don't want to go to the dealer!!

 

have u tried ebay or carparts.com?

 

You can disconnect the headlight washer fluid line and then plug the end that leads back up to the fluid reservoir. That will get the windshield washers working again.

 

Ya, I checked both the places but they don't have anything like that.
However, I'll try and disconnect the headlight pumps and connect
the windshield pumps to see if it works!
