Default Test Pipe Fitment Question

I am looking into ecodetuning.com's 3" catless downpipe and I was curious if it is possible to replace the stock downpipe with this piece but still attach the stock exhaust at the end of the pipe.

Test pipes are merely catless downpipes. So what does it matter what term I use?

ugh... our cars go turbo > cat > downpipe >exhaust.. a testpipe replaces the cat. and bolts up to the downpipe. it is not part of the downpipe in any way

A test pipe is a term used for a hollowpipe that eliminates the catalytic converter. It doesn't have a cat so it is used for testing purposes only, hence the name "test" pipe.
