Default Temperature display

Ok i searched and found nothing and i hate to post measly questions but here goes. Is it normal that the snowflake display is not ON even when the temperature outside is below +40 degrees? Mine was at +20 but i noticed that it wasn't showng the snowflake display.

The snowflake is only there when it is close to freezing... when its like uber cold out, they sort of figure that you know that ice is a concern... I think its 5 degrees above and below freezing, where it will display the snowflake. The manual would likely confirm that.

Yea thats the first place i checked but when i looked at their display example, it showed the display at +18.8 with the snowflake display. Correct me if im wrong but is the sensor smart enough to tell the difference between the actual temperature and the wind chill temperature? I just want to make sure and understand if this is normal or not.

Its 15 degrees here and the snowfake wasn't showing on my car... like someone said before, i think they take it that youre smart enough to know that its cold and the roads could be icy.

Yeah, I mean I am in Canada, so we deal degrees celcius up here... but yeah, I was wondering this fall, if the snowflake had been there all winter long... because I didn't remember it. Like every fall when I see it for the first time, it's weird! So, I got to thinking that it must dissapear at some point... It is there to warn you that there might be ice on the roads... and it sort of annoys me when it's on the display. I had hoped that eventually it would dissapear... it was just there to help you in times where you weren't too sure if there would be ice.

Anyhow, today it was -8.0 degrees, and there was no snowflake... i know it shows the snowflake at +5.0Degrees... and i haven't determined when it goes away.
