i have just noticed that my temp gauge is not owrking at all. how can i got about fixing this?

 

check all wire connectors to sensors/ fuses

 

so it might be a fuse?

 

could be but all the other things could be as well

 

could also be the ECT ( Engine Coolant Temp.) Sensor being bad... costs at msost 15$ and takes 5 minutes to replace.

Do check the wiring on it though, most ECT's that go bad have erratic readings before they completely die.

Do you have A CEL?

 

ECT would give starting issues and CEL would come on ( good point )

 

CEL is check engine light right? if so, no i dont. i have checked the fuses and they are all good. but i do have another question about my fuses. i noticed that these fuse ports, dont have fuses in them:

11 - Cruise control(auto trans)
16 - ABS, ASR
41 - ABS again

the others missing are vacant in the book. should i put fuses in the ones that are missing?

also, you guys have to realize, that im a noob with this stuff. so when you tell me to check wiring. i have no F'IN idea what wire to check. pardon my language. you guys are the closest teachers and help that i have without paying a million dollars. so i do appreciate all your help.

 

stick to one problem at a time the other fuses are for cars that have these functions

you will end up confusing the issue stick to the main issue then we will talk about the others
