temp control
i recently switched my temp control unit.....because of dead pixels. It might be in my head but i think that this one is throwing colder air at me....because i usually set it at like 73 and its prety warm.. though this one has a little more crisp to it. so is it possible by changing units that the temp changes as well even though it set at the same temp? where does it read the temp?

RE: temp control
Very posible. Did you perform a basic setting to teach the new control module the values of the old motors. If not it may thing the temp control motor is in a different location than it actually is. Its also posible the interior temp sensor is bad in one of the two control modules causing it to read different interior temperatures. Im betting a basic setting reset will solve your problem thou. If you have a vag com go to module 08 for climate control. Then run basic setting 1 and 2. The motors will perform a full sweep of motion and tell the module where the end of travel is.

RE: temp control
im going to put the old one in and see if that throws out more heat. if it doesn does that mean the one i got in now is screwed up. I dont know if you gus are fimiliar with the climate control from the 99 but above the auto button there is a hole and then there is like a strip of like a mother board and that is cracked, but it still works fine other then it doesnt throw as hot air as my last one. also that part is behind the three slits for u to better understand where this is i am talking about. is that strip like a thermometer is that why its throwing out colder air?
