Today i plan to take apart my entire dash to get to the head unit so i can get it out since all the clips that allow it to come out are broken, has anyone had experience in doing this b/c i dont even know where to begin

 

Your not gonna have to pull the entire dash out, buy you will have to pull the center console. The only problem with that is you need to pull the radio out first to do it. If the tabs are broken on the radio then your best bet is to use a small pick tool and try to pry back each tab and slowly work out the radio, thats the only way. If you don't mind risking breaking the radio pry the faceplate off the radio (it pops off) then its alot easier to access the locking tabs. It should still work after poping the faceplate back on, but it depends on how rough you were with it.
