RE: T3 Tragedy
My cylinder temps were at an optimal 220 degrees The explanation the computer came up with was an extreamly lean a/f mixture and massive knock. nothin about critical cylinder temps.
I sitll got a '87 GNX sittin in the driveway, you wanna tell me how i should run that car too?

Water injection - also known as vapour charge - is not exactly the 1st choice for removing ambient temperature for turbo engines, but it is an alternative (one I would never use).
However, it is definitely not a fix for a lean condition. I think gregp1962 is confused.
gregp1962 - STF up and have some respect for forum members, unless you want to be ridiculed for the typical idiot with 10 posts. David_K has contributed a lot to this forum and has gained respect from a lot fo us (even if he does have a BOV... lol). He is not without a fair share of knowledge.

Let's see......Your engine is in pieces. It'll do a 1/4 mile in about 30 minutes. Less if your wife helps you push.

Yeah its called an autometer cylinder temp gauge. the audi computer records that temperature. its F i live in america and even though im in a scientific field i refuse to use metric. anyways this forum is closed. i dont want to hear anymore of your ideas. I dont want to have to come over there and beat you with a camshaft.[sm=closed.gif]
