Default the T28 turbo upgrade

this turbo upgrade is pretty pricey for my 99 A4 1.8T but i was reading about it and it said that it came with a chip for the increased air flow and fuel...so i was wondering if i could still get the GIAC ECU and still run the T28 if i was to get it? since it says it comes with teh chip...could u get the GIAC chip tuned for teh T28 or what...i just found the turbo upgrade and i dont' know much about it...so as much info as possible would b nice...thanks

nope. you need a chip that goes with your turbo. the only people that burn custom chips are dahlbach ($2000+) or ATP ($400) BUT ATP DOESNT HAVE A RETURN OR WARRENTY ON CUSTOM CHIPS AND EVERYBODY IVE HEARD FROM THAT ORDERED THESE CHIPS SAY THEY NEVER WORKED. whoops caps is on

Well you would have to buy a chip tunned for what turbo you have. You have a k03 and to get software for a t28 and use it with your k03 would not work. It would be giving way to much fuel and pretty much **** your engine up instantly. I don't belevie GIAC sells software for the t28 although PES has that turbo kit and they distribute GIAC. Most places will give a discount to buy the right software if you upgrade the turbo. That kit is awsome, its more involved than just a turbo upgrade, you need injectors, FPR, catback exhaust, somtimes a larger MAF sensor, FMIC, clutch will go within a few months of the added HP and TQ.

I wana ride in a t 28 car, i think a ko4 would have better 0 to 60ft time and faster of the line but a t28 would reel you in easily.

right now get a new clutch and go to a junkyard and get a tranny from a 2.8 have both of those installed then get a ko4 when your ready for a t28 the k04 kits sell on ebay for like 1000 so you get most of your money back.
