Oh my lord... why pay the dealer that! All they do is unscrew the old filter, drain the oil, put a new filter on and put fresh oil in it.

I use Mahle or Mann filters. I find that the filter is more important than the brand. I use Supertech synthetic and Mobil 1 when i feel like paying a premium.
This is exactly what I do and suggest it also

Amsoil, Royal Purple, Valvoline, Mobil1, in that order. Anything else and you might as well use the old dinosaur oil. Mobil1 and Amsoil filters are the best, they are micron filters instead of the paper filters from other brands. I'm not just blowing smoke, alot of research and tests have been done to support these brands.
If you got a garage and a couple tools theres no reason to take your car to the stealership just for an oil change.

deff royal purple, amsoil and mobil one. 0W-40 for mobil one. royal is expensive but ams isnt that bad and is probably better than mobil one. go k&n oil filter

whoaa...mine is like $35, with filter and Mobile 1 always at my mechanic..

OEM??? I heard 1.8T are suppose to use BIGGER OIL FILTER to prevent OIL SLUDGE.
