i know you guys recommend synthetic do any of you have any advice as to wich brand... and why did an audi oil filter just cost me 11 dollars?

i get my oil done at valvoline think i spelled that right. i used they're brand of synthetic and the car runs great.. where did u get the filter. that price sounds about right i believe

how much does the dealership charge for an oil change? i'm sure any brand they use will be good for your car.

11$ is a lil high I think for the big oem filter I pay 9$ and I always use Mobil one

Oh my lord... why pay the dealer that! All they do is unscrew the old filter, drain the oil, put a new filter on and put fresh oil in it.

I use Mahle or Mann filters. I find that the filter is more important than the brand. I use Supertech synthetic and Mobil 1 when i feel like paying a premium.

i use valvoline synthetic even though i dont really neeeeed to with the 12v
