Suspension work.

Suspension work.
Hi, I'm starting to work on the suspension of my car due to a slightvibration/grinding noise in the front end. The wheels are balanced, and I just replaced the brakes and rotors hoping that that would solve the problem. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on where to start and work my way back. I would hope not to have to just replace everything at once due to wallet capacity. I was also wondering if anyone would be willing to take a picture of their stock suspension and post it so i can tell if the rubber parts look right in my car. Mine seem kind of squished. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

RE: Suspension work.
So, start with the bearings and cv boot joints? I was also considering taking it to a stealership and paying the 130 to have them look it over to pinpoint the problem. I was also wondering if there is anyone that has ever dealt with the naperville audi dealership. I just want to make sure if i'm giving them money they dont screw up and diagnose the wrong problem.

RE: Suspension work.
why would you start by replacing your brakes???? most likely either: wheel bearing, cv, control arm, tie rod, alignment. take it to a private mechanic and just have him diagnose it and give you a price on the fix... then go from there.

The brakes needed replaced in the first place. The unfortunate thing is that there aren't any experienced mechanics in my area to have check for problems. I'm relativley mechanicly inclined, but i need a second opinion on what's causing the problem so I dont try to fix things that have nothing to do with the problem.
