subwoofer install questions...
I have the Bose system with 6 disc changer in the trunk. I have a subwoofer sitting around. It's like a bazooka tube (sub and amp enclosed)...anyways, what would I have to do to install it. Other than taking it to a place to do it for me....i can run wire to my radio, but my radio is the stock headunit 1998 headunit. Now do i have to splice into factory wires? or is there just an easy way to plug it in? Also, how do you actually remove the stock head unit...in order to get behind it. I don't see any holes for din tools or anything.

you would need to hook up rca cables. im pretty sure the stock audi deck doesnt have a hook up for these in the back. so the only thing to do is buy a new deck.

There is no bracket available for Audi's as of now, so you're best way to go about it is to get a line converter. Ask a local audio shop about it. It uses the wires going to your rear speakers and converts the signal into a usable bass signal.
Or you can make a custom bracket yourself, or get an installer to make you one. That's rather expensive, though.
