Hey when i corner at high speeds, or punch it, sometimes a strange yellow light that looks like a pyramid comes on on my dash display. what does this mean?

 

I dont know if this is right but if it is a caution sign it might be warning you that you are loosing traction. my dads mercedes does the same thing

 

i call it the idiot light

 

it is the traction control light should have an arrow pointing up in the middle of the triangle and the arrow should have be curved.

 

It could be the eletronic stability program is applying a brake.

 

It is the traction control light. When you corner at high speeds a start loosing grip, the light come on to let you know that your loosing tarction and that the car is applying some brake in order for ypou not to loose control. You could turn it off, but really don't recomended you, you might spin off! I bet that has saved you a couple of times already!

yea i have that traction control crap in my stang and belive me it blows, luckly theres a little button to turn it off.... thats when the fun begins

 

if you know what youre doing, you can turn it off.....but since panzer started this thread.....i would recommend leaving it on....

 

Traction control is not the same as Electronic stability control.
