Default Strange smell after plowing through driveway on SNOW HELL SUNDAY PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey all,

Ok I did something stupid and plowed through my driveway today...
Here is what happenned:

Was parked in driveway and wanted to get the car out to back it in.

Spent 1 hour shovelling the entire driveway with the exception of
the end thinking that it would be no use as later tonight the plow
would pile up all the snow again so I left it not thinking it would
be a big deal.... The snow was not super super high and the plow had
not come by at all so I didn't think it would be a big deal.

Floored it and got the car out.

Turned it around and backed it in by flooring it again.

After that I started to notice a strange smell. At first it smelled
like clutch or brake pad burn and then I noticed a slight VERY
SLIGHT hint of coolant smell (It's EXTREMELY slight) I started to
wonder if I had done some damage to the underbelly and broke
something.... I didn't notice a leak under the car at all and I
looked several times so I'm a bit confused as to what the problem
could be. Now I did notice that my coolant temp held at 70 degrees
and did not move to the 90 mark like normal so this is freaking me
out abit.

Oh and I don't have my belly pan installed so I am now kicking
myself for being such a lazy *** and not putting it back on in the
summer.

Sooo, can anyone help me figure out what it could be??? Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

Could you be making some of it up in yoru mind? Any leaks would be obvious especially with the belly pan off since theres snow on the ground. How hard was the snow? Was it that frozen stuff thats more like rock or just densely packed? Unless you got the car stuck and were beating on the clutch to get it out thats not the problem. Probably not a break/pad problem either unless something got stuck inbetween, which should get cleared or melt pretty quick. Do a little driving or exploring and see if the smell is still there and if you can locate it better.

Thanks Viper,

The 4 times that I DID look under the car and then under the hood, Ididn't see any leaks anywhere. I did smell that weird smell but it wasn't as obvious as it was in the cabin.... I'm hoping that I worked the clutch a bit too hard while trying to ram through the snow (whichwas all powder)and it burned just abit with no harm done... Now one thing I noticed after I saw that the temp needle wouldn't go to the halfmark is that the coolant was low which struck me as odd seeing as how the temp should go UP if the collant is low....Man theses German cars sure have their quirks!!!

Any other opinions would be appreciated.
