Start up after trubo replacement. Oil pick up line...
Before starting it, I'm going to manually put some oil inside the turbo lines. Then crank it over a few times before starting it.
But, I'm wondering if there is a way to see that the oil pump is able to pick up oil from the oil pan? I couldn't feel any sludge by sticking my finger in the drain hole in the pan. I just want to be as sure as possible that I have clear oil lines. Also, what is the best way to test oil pressure?

Change your oil with synthetic. Crank the engine for a good 30 seconds before starting the first time.

When replacing the turbo your best bet is to replace the oil feed line also. Your car has an oil pressure sensor that will alert you if your oil pressure is to low.
