Stalled
Need your help on this one.
I was sitting in the drive through and my 2002 B6 A4 3.0L started to rev up and down whenI was in neutral and my foot was on the brake. It was reving just below 1,000 RPM then it dipped down and went up and down from 400-1,000 RPM on it's own then it stalled. I ran the check engine function and everything checked fine. It started up right away after but it seemed weird.
Wondering if anyone has had this issue before?

RE: Stalled
I had a similar issue on my B5 with no check engine codes at first. It was my Mass Airflow Sensor. These are sensitive to K&N filters that have too much oil on them. Did the car do it again or was it a one time occurrence?

RE: Stalled
It was a one time occurence. The reving issue happened the night before as well. i figure it could be my air filter needs cleaning (stock paper filter not a K&N) or the idle needs to be reset.I bought the car in May of this year and that has been the only time I've had an issue.

RE: Stalled
Make sure you have the radio code.
Disconnect the battery for ten minutes.
Reconnect the battery and turn the key part-way, do not crank.
You'll hear the drive by wire motors moving the throttle.
Wait two minutes before starting.

RE: Stalled
Radio codes are used to reset the radio "security" if the power happens to drop below or cut out completely. Without it the radio just wont work. In order to get them look in the papers that came with the car there should be one for the stero with the owners manual. If by chance there isnt head to the local Audi service center and have them look it up. Its easier if its there to deal with them.
