spraying silver paint on amber bulbs
I saw the DIY post on getting the clear corners actually clear. Will the amber still shine through the paint? I'm also annoyed at having clear corners with an amber bulb reflecting all over the place but i'm afraid a pig will pull me if I don't have amber parking lights/ blinkers. anyone done this? results?

Yup, I did it on mine. Make sure you use high-temp enamal (sp?) because those bulbs will be amber whenever your headlights are on...normal paint will bubble right off. Do a few light passes with a spray can, nice and thin or it will "orange peel" on you.

also, fyi, i've found that even high temp paint will burn over time. It's been about a year since i painted those corner bulbs in my sig, and they now look like a burnt dark amber color with a very light silver coat....iirc it took a few months for any signs to pop up, i think it was at about 9 months that i noticed it was getting darker, and more recently the amber has started to show through more and more
