Spare Tire Mod..
Easy 3 step process:
Step 1
Run over a ******* screw
Step 2
Remove old wheel
Step 3
Put on spare
Oh and there is a step 4 in this case, which is to open your wallet and shell out $100+ for 2 new tires since replacing just the one is not recomended. Cant be repaired cuz the screw is in the side wall... Of all places...
Dangit...

RE: Spare Tire Mod..
Im still trying to figure out, the more i look at it, how this could have happned. The sidewall is the strongest part of the tire and it would take a hell of a lot of force to get that in there like that, especially because its a screw and not a nail. Its just in an odd spot for me to believe that i actually ran over it and maybe someone didnt put it there. I only have one enemy and its my neighbor.. I yelled at his kids one time for playing on our porch and running around the audi throwing ***** accross it and stuff... HMMMM! Did I just get SCREWED by someone???

Well I just removed the screw and its not leaking.. I tested it with soapy water and no bubbles... I was sure that when i removed it the air would start pouring out.. I guess not.. But i know my sidewall still MAY be damaged and i probably shouldnt drive on it.. Its on the rear, so maybe i could get away with driving on it until Fall and get all new all season tires since these are high performance summer only tires.. (a skull and crossbones is what is listed for winter safety for these tires on tirerack.com).. What do you guys think?? The side wall isnt buldging or anything... Hmm...

The sidewall is the thinnest and weakest part of the tire, not the strongest. Thats part of why they can't repair it... too thin.
I wouldn't guess that was done intentionally, I would think that most people would push something straight into the tire, not in at a diagonal. You probably just ran over it. A screw is harder to get in than a nail, but the car is so heavy, it can drive a screw up into the tire without much of a problem.
I am surprised the tire wasn't leaking. Although it doesn't bulge right there, it may develop a bulge after driving on it for a little while. You could try to wait it out till fall, but you do so at your own risk. If it blows out, you will probably be fine, even if you are traveling at high speed (I have had it happen to me at ~80mph with no problems). If you are looking to get some all weather tires, you may as well just go get them. Its not like you are going to save a lot of tread life on your tires in the next month or two. If your going to get them, now is a good time to do it.

Well I put it back on so we'll see what happens.
