Default southbend TZ stage2

ive heard that kevlar clutches make alot of noise and chatter...but im wanting to know if anyone has this clutch

http://www.kineticmotorsport.com/pro...2-587-137.html

if so please tell me how you like it and if its loud or not... remember im running stock flywheel

one question i has was... the metal tab looking things on the disc...do those touch the flywheel/pressure plate?...do these clutches grip with those metal parts or the kevlar?

you want some weight for daily driving. the steel ones in the teens (weight wise) will be better. They usually make less noise and since they still have some mass, the revs dont drop as fast as they would with a 7lb+ aluminum fw.

so u would suggest that i dont change my flywheel? which im not planning to because of money issues. i was thinking of changing my flywheel before but if it has no use whatsoever i wouldnt spend the extra cash for a flywheel. thanks for the info. so no need to change the flywheel right? if i need to service my clutch does the flywheel needs to be change to?

the lighter the flywheel the more hp you will free up, but it will chatter more and be less smooth. 11lbs is as light as you want to go, and a 16lb one would be a nice choice. i have a southbend stage 5 w/ 11lb flywheel on my daily driver and i dont mind it at all. i actually like it better than the stock setup. and the only time i have chatter is when the a/c is on. and even then i can only hear it when im outside the car or next to a wall with my window down.i got my flywheel from southbend for 300 and install is free if your doing the clutch at the same time.

littleflavio, perfectly fine just to get the flywheel resurfaced at a machine shop, or if your not doing the install, then the shop will resurface it for you...i hope.
