Wow thats a really clean 98...
Currently 132k and runs effortlessly. It has no torque but get it up to speed and it just keeps pushing. So far just a bad alternator, coolant sensor and recently a leaky radiator. I do have the infamous abs module problem but it doesn't bother me. The O2 sensors are on their way out but thats non related. The V6 is always thirsty but damn its reliable. Why the 2.8 though, why not a 1.8T?
My 1.8T is an okay car, but I've always liked the 2.8 we drove before we bought it better. This '98 popped up, and appears to be most deffinitely in my price range, so I just thought I'd ask.

The radiator was another thing I wanted to ask about. How's the repair on that??

seems expensive for a soon to be 10 yo automatic....

good paint, like the color, will last another 100k easily, make sure they have all of da maintenance records.....

why not just chip whatchu got?

Parents don't want me chipping my car. Plus, I don't really want to do it that much, either.

I'm looking at this car from a reliability standpoint, not a performance standpoint.

The radiator is a simple DIY, the only thing is it costs $250 at the stealership.

I'm surewe'll at least negotiate on it a little bit if we look at it.
